Know the sound-spelling for short "e".
Read irregularly spelled words (give, come, some, for).
Recognize and produce rhyme.
Identify elements of a sentence.
Read and form plural nouns.
Read a poem titled The Elephant Who Jumped the Fence. While reading we will highlight sight words we've learned and find words with the short "e" sound.
Read a book titled, The Elephant, by Cordelia Finn S. Finn. While reading, we will infer information from photos and text features. We will also talk about how the photographs help us understand information.
