This week in literacy, we will…
Read and spell words with the final e (a_e and i_e patterns).
Read irregularly spelled words (water, that, of, carry).
Read and write words containing soft c and soft g.
Read a poem titled, Wise Old Owl. We discuss the meaning of the poem and highlight words with the long i sound.
Read a book titled, The Big Surprise. While reading, we will infer the feelings of characters and retell major events in the story.
Participate in Heggerty Phonemic Awareness lessons.
This week in writing, we will…
Continue working on our opinion quitting
Use sparkly words to help add to our writing
Write letters to Santa and hope for a response from the elves!
This week in math, we will….
Continue to work on telling time
Work on identifying fractions 1 whole, ½ , and quarters
We will learn equivalent equations for example 3+3=6 and 4+2=6
We will continue to work on comparing problems and word problems

Continue learning about being a good citizen
