This week in literacy, we will…
Learn the letter-sound correspondences for ow and ou, where the two letters make the /ou/ sound, as in cow and cloud
Learn the letter-sound correspondences for the vowel teams oi and oy, where the two vowels make the /oi/ sound, as in coin and boy
Read a book titled Scrunch the Caterpillar by Stephen Krensky. While reading, we will identify how characters change throughout the story and a lesson we can learn from the characters. We will also understand the meaning of past tense verbs with -ed endings and clap syllables in words.
Read a poem titled “Out”.
