This week in literacy, we will…
Learn to add -ing to the end of verbs to show that something is happening now
Add -ed to the end of verbs to show that something already happened
Think about how to spell words correctly when you add the suffix -ed
Read a book titled, Oh, Good! by Judith E. Nayer during shared reading. We will retell major events that occurred in the story and infer the characters' feelings. We will also notice word endings and understand the meaning of new words
Read a poem titled, On Top of Spaghetti. We will highlight verbs with -ed endings in the poem
Participate in Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Lessons
