Read irregularly spelled words (they, look, were, went)
Recognize and use plurals that add -es to words that end with the letters -ch, -sh, s, x, or z.
Read a book titled The Right Spot, by Judy Gifford. We will talk about connections to text, infer the author's purpose, and talk about the characters, problems, and events in the story.
Write a response to reading.
Read a poem titled, Little Robin Redbreast. While reading, we will identify sound words and words that appeal to our senses.
Participate in Heggerty Phonemic Awareness Lessons.

Continue learning about different types of poetry including haikus and acrostic poems
