Distinguish and know the sound-spellings for the diphthong /oi/.
Read irregularly spelled words (four, any, better, only).
Read a book titled, Join a Club. We will retell the main events from the story and share our opinion about clubs we read about in the story.
Identify the elements of a sentence and review the use of question marks.
Read and write multisyllabic words.
Read a book titled Zip, Zip, Zip, by Andrea Young. While reading, we will notice and talk about important information in a nonfiction text.
Read a poem titled, Four Seasons. We will identify adjectives in the poem.
Participate in Heggerty Phonemic Awareness lessons.
