Free Learning Websites for Kids

Feel free to check the websites above for your children to use this summer.  We used some of the in the classroom this past school year, but they are all wonderful resources to keep your children entertained this summer.

Thank You for an Amazing Year!!

Thank you for the thoughtful end of the year gift!  It is so wonderful and I absolutely love it!  It's another great memory of my 2013-2014 First Grade Class.  Also, a BIG thank you to our two room moms - Courney's mom and Phoebe's mom for taking the time to organize and put it together for me (and everything else they did this school year - wow!).  They have been such wonderful room moms all year!  I have definitely been spoiled!

I feel so lucky to work with so many amazing and thoughtful families!  Thank you for all of your support this school year.

I hope you have a great summer and I look forward to seeing you all next school year!  Please stop by and say hi!  Thanks again!

I would love to continue working with them throughout the summer in order to help your child maintain the important skills that they have learned in first grade. I have two open spots on Tuesday mornings.  If you or anyone that you know are interested, please contact me ASAP.

June 2nd Newsletter

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week in reading we will continue reviewing cause and effect.  We are going to be looking at the sounds oi and oy as in the words boil and boy.  This will be our last week of spelling.  We will continue reading Arthur books written by Marc Brown.  We plan to finish up our memory books either late this week or early next week, so look for those to come home.

In math, we will be reviewing concepts learned throughout the school year.  No homework will be assigned this week in math.  Please continue practicing addition and subtraction facts over the summer.

Next week Monday will be a regular day of school.  Next Tuesday we will play fun math and reading games.  Please send a paper bag to school by this Friday.  The children will be cleaning out their desks next
Tuesday.

Arts and Interest day is this Thursday, June 5th.  Please remember to send a cold lunch to school with your child.
