Read a poem titled, The Wise Old Owl
Write “Picture Day” advice during Community Writing time
Read Scram! by Julie Reich. We will use familiar word parts to figure out new words, make predictions based on repeating episodes in the story and infer characters’ feelings from dialogue, text, and pictures
Read, Perfect Square by Michael Hall and The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson
Start participating in guided reading groups (?)
In writing this week, we will…
Write the exact actions of our characters
Write with POP-OUT words to help our readers read with expression
Recognize similar and different craft moves that a variety of authors use
Use all we know so far to revise and edit our work

Solve addition story problems with sums to 20
