This week in literacy, we will...
- Learn that the vowel combination ue and ew make the /oo/ sound, as in true and crew
- Learn that homophones are words that sound the same but have different meanings and spellings
- Read a book titled, The Cactus Hotel, by Abbey Grace Moore. We will read words with consonant clusters and understand new vocabulary from context. We will also identify the author's purpose for writing the book.

- Read a poem titled, How Much Dew? We will highlight the words with the ew spelling pattern in the poem and identify the homophones "do" and "dew".
